I'm not sure Birthright is canonically accepted as Superman's origin after Infinite Crisis.--MaGnUs 01:49, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Wellllll... that's the tricky thing. There are elements of Birthright that kinda have to be considered canon. In Post-Crisis contintuty, the Kryptonians were genetically bound to their planet. If they attempted to leave, they died. Superman was the only exception because Jor-El found a cure (revealed in Action Comics Annual #2). If DC repeals Birthright, then they have to remove all of the other Kryptonians that have been floating around including Power Girl, Supergirl, General Zod, Ursa, Non, and probably even Krypto from continuity. Also the modernized physical appearances of Jor-El, Lara and the Kents originated with Birthright, so that causes problems as well. --Brian Kurtz 12:22, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Exactly, elements of Birthright are part of current continuity, but all of it, as the article says. We should note that in some way. Oh, and Power Girl wouldn't count because she's from a different Krypton, old Earth-2's Krypton.--MaGnUs 04:12, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Namespace[]

Ok, I just read the debate about the Comics: namespace, and then noticed this page, which effectively creates a Superman: namespace. I'm going to rename the article to "Superman Birthright" unless someone has an objection. Chadlupkes 16:12, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure that that would only affect the page if we had named it something like "Superman:Birthright". Otherwise, there's a much bigger problem, as the vast majority of storyline pages on the site use colons. And their factual titles involve colons. Wikipedia seems to have no problem with this. Then again though, I've been away for a month and just got back. I'll check the forums then get back here.
